CiviCure presents an event to honor the art and life of Grandma Moses—our most famous local artist who worked in both textiles and oils. This is a free event that will take place at the Historic Barns of Nipmoose in Buskirk. Beginning at 10:00am and throughout the day, a crew will be privately recording people's stories and memories of Grandma Moses and taking photographs. The public is invited to come, be a part of this project, and share their memories of Grandma Moses and the Hoosick of her day (1860-1961) so the stories can be archived for future generations. There will also be a family-friendly art making workshop. At 3:00pm, Bennington Museum Curator Jamie Franklin will present a slide lecture on Grandma Moses and Modernism.
