Farm to Canvas Art Lottery

Saturday, October 28th

The Farm to Canvas fundraiser for CiviCure will take place in tandem with a Farm to Table evening event at Brown's Brewing Company's Walloomsac Brewery and Taproom. Original (approx. 6"x9") artworks by dozens of artists from the region and beyond will be exhibited at the taproom beginning October 25th for people to view. The night of the event, atendees can purchase a lottery ticket for $48. Numbers will be chosen at random, and when your number is called, you get to pick your favorite artwork to keep. Contributing artists names will be listed on the program, but the artist responsible for each "mystery" piece will remain anonymous until it is chosen, so pick because you like what you see. Lottery tickets will be limited to the number of artworks submitted.

This year's event will feature a selection of work by regional artists including a group who will paint en plein air, a French term for painting outdoors in the open air. These panels will feature the Walloomsac River and its environs. Participating artists have the opportunity to paint from an unrivaled viewpoint on the bridge above the falls at Brown’s Brewery. The bridge is only accessible from inside their building. In addition to these panels, there will be a carefully curated selection of art works donated from private and corporate collections.

You don't need to purchase a lottery ticket to come and enjoy the event. Brown's will also offer a unique Farm to Table menu complete with their seasonal ale made with pumpkins grown at nearby Moses Farm. CiviCure's hope for this event is to offer an enticing venue for the recognition of regional artists and the opportunity to take home reasonably priced artworks that will fire the collecting spark in a new generation of art lovers.
