To say our community is in crisis is an understatement. Fear, frustration, and anger are just a few of the emotions that are wreaking havoc in peoples’ lives as a result of this water crisis, and many don’t know where to turn for help.
Recognizing this need for hope, Celebrate Recovery Hoosick Falls will begin offering a “Water Crisis” Open Share women’s group on Thursday evenings (unfortunately we don’t have enough male leaders to offer a men’s group at this time.)
Celebrate Recovery isn’t just for those with addiction issues. It is for anyone who is struggling with any life issues at all that are resulting in unhealthy behaviors and negative emotions.
C.R. is a faith-based 12 step recovery program where you can share (if you want) what is going on in your life in a safe setting, while being given tools to help work through your “stuff” in a healthy, systematic manner. C.R. can’t change your circumstances, but it will help give you a different perspective – a perspective that will give you hope… and that is what Hoosick Falls needs right now.
For almost 6 years, Hoosick Falls C.R. participants have seen God set us free from our unhealthy behaviors and thought patterns. He can do the same for you!
If you are struggling with the effects of the water crisis (or anything else for that matter), there is help. God wants to lift your burdens… “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
Celebrate Recovery Hoosick Falls Open Meetings are held on Thursdays at 6:30 at Hoosick Falls Community Alliance Church. We begin in a large group with a few worship songs and a testimony or teaching on one of the 12 steps, then move into gender-specific Open Share meetings to finish the evening.
